I grew up practicing yoga in my Gran’s classes. She taught yoga and meditation and I was fortunate enough to learn from her as a child.
I am a 500 hour qualified Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa and Bikram teacher. I completed my 200 hour TTC at YoYoga in 2016, and my 300 hour advanced training with Catherine Wilkinson in 2017. I have been teaching since 2016 and absolutely love seeing students grow in their practice!
I love yoga for the fact that it pulls you into the present. My time on my mat is a practice of self-care, self love, and healing, which we all need on a daily basis. The lessons we learn on our mats empower us in our daily lives.

Why ‘Synaptic Yoga’?
The synapses are the connections between the brain cells, that allow communication between the cells. Without movement and learning experiences, we map the same neural pathways, meaning we react to stress and things that happen in our lives, in the same way, over and over, reinforcing negative responses to external triggers. The more we engage in a particular thought, or way of behavior, the stronger the reinforcement becomes, making it difficult to change chronic, overlearned patterns.
Yoga and other forms of mindful movement enable the brain to develop and grow more synapses, and to forge different neural pathways. During yoga, the areas of the brain that promote a sense of calm, are strengthened and ‘lit up!’ Essentially the body and the mind are ‘rewired’.. and the more we focus on our breath and notice how we feel, the more we enhance that sense of calm and clear thinking.
We learn to take what we learn about ourselves on our mats, to our lives, and develop a way to approach life in a whole new way !!
